Atlantic Team Mission Statement

The Atlantic Team promotes volunteer supported research using the BOINC project manager software on personal computers. The BOINC project manager allows the computer's idle time to be applied to analyzing data for various research projects.

Projects are selected based on a number of factors including merit.

The Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing (BOINC) is a non-commercial middleware system for volunteer and grid computing. The intent of BOINC is to make it possible for researchers to tap into the enormous processing power of personal computers around the world.
